Abstract

At its essence, development is a crucial part of efforts to improve public welfare and does not conflict with Christian values. However, sustainable development requires a balance between economic growth, respect for human dignity, community participation, environmental protection, and social justice. Through a sociological analysis and biblical reflection on the documentary *Pesta Babi: Kolonialisme di Zaman Kita* (translation: Pig Feast: Colonialism in Our Time), this article seeks to offer a perspective that is more dialogical, critical, and constructive regarding the development of South Papua.
