A Glance at the Apologetic Approach of Syriac Orthodox Christians in Indonesia

Abstract

In Indonesia's pluralistic and dynamic religious context, interfaith dialogue is an urgent need to create social harmony (wholeness) and interfaith understanding.
One prominent approach in this area is apologetics, which is the effort to explain and dialogue about religious teachings rationally and systematically. Among the intellectual figures prominent in the development of the Christian apologetics approach in Indonesia is Bambang Noorsena, a theologian, philologist, and historian known as a pioneer in the study and development of the Syriac Orthodox Christian tradition in Indonesia.
