Abstract

Theology is part of the church's duty as witnesses of Christ in the midst of
this world. Many Christians see this duty as something only to be carried
out by certain people, such as pastors or those who have graduated from
theological schools. However, this duty is actually the responsibility of all
believers. The next issue is that in theology today, believers face a major
challenge with what is called postmodernism, which is a concept that
essentially rejects absolute truth. For postmodernism truth is essentially

relative, so what we convey or witness based on the Bible is accepted as
relative truth. This study aims to show all believers that the task of
theology is the task of all believers and how to convey it in this
postmodern era. This research is a qualitative study using
phenomenological analysis. Theologizing in the postmodern era is indeed
a challenge for believers. However, at the same time, it presents a great
opportunity to spread the gospel.
